Attendees are welcome to bring potluck side dishes, but that is completely optional. I'm thrilled to be part of this all day celebration of their 50th year on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the University Lutheran Church in E. Lansing MI. There will be sixteen, one hour sessions of community singing, jams, instrument workshops, ukulele activities, dancing, demonstrations and conversation, followed by a concert of Fiddle Favorites (myself included). $20 wristband is good for all afternoon and evening festivities. Find out more »Yes, the First Time Stringband will be the featured band for this wonderful contradance (which includes homemade pie at the break!). We will be playing with all five members, a rare treat: Jeff Davis (fiddle), Dan Lanier (fiddle and mandolin), Deck Naiforth (harmonica, bones), Howie Bursen (banjo) and me (guitar). If you've never contradanced before, come a little early for the catch-up class for beginners. All dances are called (taught) and of course, there is a LIVE (and lively) band....US!

This is a fabulous week of music, comaraderie and fun.
