Yes, the First Time Stringband will be the featured band for this wonderful contradance (which includes homemade pie at the break!).  We will be playing with all five members, a rare treat:  Jeff Davis (fiddle), Dan Lanier (fiddle and mandolin), Deck Naiforth (harmonica, bones), Howie Bursen (banjo) and me (guitar).   If you've never contradanced before, come a little early for the catch-up class for beginners.  All dances are called (taught) and of course, there is a LIVE (and lively) band....US!

Workshops, dances, concerts, one-shots, camper concerts, parties, sessions, boating, swimming in two lovely ponds, relaxing, learning, and generally having fun.  This is a fabulous week of music, comaraderie and fun.  As I write there are still a few spaces left as well as two full scholarships, one for first timers under the age of 31 and one for BIPOC lovers of traditional music and dance.  I will be teaching Mt. New Haven Contradance w/ FIrst Time Stringband

Dance to the driving rhythms of our own First Time Stringband (Howie on banjo, Jeff Davis on Fiddle, Dan Lanier on Fiddle and Mandolin, Deck Neiforth on bones and harmonica, Sally on guitar) w/ Sue Gola calling. For the second time, I will join my fellow artists, Lisa Davidson and Susan Graseck in a show of our work at the Thompson Public Library.  My part of the show includes my quilts, including several new ones!  Our Artists Reception will be held at the library on Tuesday, October 14 at the library, from 6-7:30PM. Libations and small snacks will be served.  The show will hang for the entire month of October and is open to the public.
