Winter Acoustic Music Weekend- Groton MA
WUMB will host another Winter Acoustic Music Weekend (WAMW) on February 21 – 23, 2025, in Groton, Massachusetts. Music Director Lorraine Hammond has crafted this year’s Winter Weekend to be a fully ‘hands-on’ acoustic music retreat, featuring traditional New England, American and World music. Trad Mad at Pinewoods Camp
Workshops, dances, concerts, one-shots, camper concerts, parties, sessions, boating, swimming in two lovely ponds, relaxing, learning, and generally having fun. This is a fabulous week of music, comaraderie and fun. As I write there are still a few spaces left as well as two full scholarships, one for first timers under the age of 31 and one for BIPOC lovers of traditional music and dance. I will be teaching Mt.
