About Sally Rogers
Award-winning folk musician and songwriter, Sally Rogers brings her mesmerizing vocals and musical genius to concert halls, coffeehouses, churches and homes. Widely known for her crystal clear voice, Sally accompanies herself with guitar, banjo and mountain dulcimer.
At the heart of Sally’s work is traditional and contemporary folk music. Her performances are like a quilt, made up of soul-stirring ballads, messages of hope, knee-slapping dance tunes or gentle lullabies.
To date, Sally has recorded six solo albums, four children’s recordings, two albums with Howie Bursen, four albums with Claudia Schmidt, and has participated on numerous other recording projects. Her most recent record is her first solo venture since 1997, titled "Old Friends I've Never Met" and includes 17 songs, (13 original ones as well as 4 others from the pens of friends and the folk archives). These are all songs about people she's never met but feels that she knows well, after writing and singing about them for all these years. It is available on CD, MP3 download and as a keepsake black walnut thumb drive. Her 40 year retrospective, "40 Years, 40 Songs" is also available on a natural bamboo engraved keepsake USB drive with many extras included.
